Mindfulness-Based Practices for Children, Adolescents, and Families: Support, Limitations, and Future Directions

A couple of weeks ago I presented a poster on Mindfulness-Based Practices for Children, Adolescents, and Families at the I-MERIT Los Angeles Unity Conference. This poster presentation briefly reviewed the literature related to using mindfulness approaches with children, adolescents, and families. This presentation explained the benefits, support, gaps, limitations, and future directions for using mindfulness approaches as a tool for children, adolescents, and families dealing with anxiety, attention problems, depression, and trauma. I am continuing to gather research for this review of the literature and I plan to present on it in workshop form at future conferences.
